A 59-year-old man who had a medical emergency at the wheel of his car which caused a road in Swansea to close later died, police have said.

The man was taken ill suddenly while driving in Dunvant Road, Dunvant.

An air ambulance, road ambulance, two rapid response cars and police cars were at the incident, which happened around 15:20 GMT on Sunday.

No other vehicles or people were involved, South Wales Police said. Next of kin have been informed.

Passers-by told the South Wales Evening Post they thought the man had suffered a heart attack.
