A third man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a homeless man in Bath on Christmas Eve.
Thomas Downey, 51, known as Manchester Tommy, was found with head injuries near Bath railway station just after 13:30 GMT.
A 46-year-old has been arrested, Avon and Somerset Police said.
A 37-year-old man arrested at the weekend has been released on bail and another man, 33, remains in custody.
Police said they had obtained a 36-hour extension to continue questioning him.
Mr Downey's body was found under a railway arch on the Lower Bristol Road.
Det Insp Julie MacKay said he had suffered "a brutal attack" and described the investigation as "challenging".
She asked for anyone who may have seen Mr Downey or witnessed any disorder around the arches in the seven days leading up to Christmas Eve to contact police.
The force said Mr Downey, who was originally from Manchester, was a regular around Bath city centre.
He made the news in 2011 when he was jailed for stealing doughnutsduring the Manchester riots.
He was caught with a box of doughnuts which he had taken from a Krispy Kreme shop in Piccadilly Gardens.
Manchester Crown Court was told he had taken the doughnuts because he was hungry and had recently been released from prison with only £4 in his pocket.
