Two Bangladesh workers were killed after they were trapped in wet concrete following the collapse of a floor being levelled at an LRT terminal construction site in Putra Heights near here yesterday.

PETALING JAYA, Dec 25 — Two Bangladesh workers were killed after they were trapped in wet concrete following the collapse of a floor being levelled at an LRT terminal construction site in Putra Heights near here yesterday.
The bodies of the workers were recovered from the collapsed wet concrete at 10.24pm yesterday and 1.10am today, said Selangor Fire and Rescue assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul.
He said the body recovered yesterday had been identified as that of Md Suman Mollah, in his 30s, while the body found today had yet to be identified.
“The bodies were sent to the Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem,” he told Bernama.
Sani said the first floor where six workers were levelling wet concrete collapsed at 4.20pm, trapping the two workers who were on the ground floor at the LRT terminal construction site in Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru, Putra Heights.
Four of the six workers who fell along with the flooring were injured while two escaped unhurt, he said, adding that the injured workers were sent to the Putrajaya and Serdang hospitals.
Sani said the Selangor Fire and Rescue personnel called off the search-and-rescue operation after the second body was recovered early today.
This is the second accident involving the LRT construction this year. In the first, on June 26, a man and a woman were injured when a steel beam fell on a car at Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang. — Bernama
